Butterfly Easel Card

A card made using the amazing Spelbinders labels #4 dies, I really can’t get enough of this shape. It can be used for masculine or feminine cards and it works.

I left the die on the card to blend ink onto the main layer of card to give a nice white border.

The card for the butterflies was first coloured with different Distress Inks and then cut out.

The swirl and flourish were also previously coloured with Distress Ink. Something I’d tried out but hadn’t worked so I cut it up and used it here.

The flowers once punched out were inked gently around the edges and put into pairs, yellow ink and glitter pen for the middles and glossy accents for a bit of dimension.

The sentiment stopper was stamped, trimmed and matted onto silver card. I used two layers of foam pads (mine aren’t very deep) to mount it.

Inks used:
Distress Ink – Broken China, Dusty Concord, Pickled Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade
Dies used:
Tim Holtz – Elegant Flourish
Spelbinders  – Labels #4
Spellbinders Grand Shapabilities – Wonderful Wings
Spellbinders Shapabilities – Floral Flourishes
Tonic – Flower Punch
