40th Birthday Card

40th Birthday CardHi There. How are you?
This birthday card was made for my sisters fortieth birthday. Happy Birthday sis.

The background was stamped with embossing ink and heat embossed with green embossing powder. I’ve coloured it in with watercolour and matted it onto purple card.

I thought it would look good with a butterfly on it so onto a piece of lilac card I stamped an indigoblu butterfly with flitter glue and used gilding flakes to add a little luxury and shine. ( Flitter glue is a sticky glue that stays tacky till it is covered with something e.g. gilding flakes or glitter.)

I have added a strip of purple ribbon with double sided tape across the bottom and die-cut a sentiment from gold card. This is exciting because it’s the first time out for my new Christmas dies. I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of these.

The purple and green are a nice colour combination, I really like it. I’ll have to try to remember to use it again.

I gave the card to her this weekend and she liked it so I’m calling that a success.
Thanks for stopping by today. Till next time, have fun x
